SKYPE SUCKS!!

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 11, 2009, 11:55 PM

TO EVERYONE OUT THERE. JUST WANT TO LET EVERYONE KNOW NOT TO USE SKYPE. THEY SOMEHOW MANAGED TO GET MY BANK DETAILS AND HAVE CHARGED ME FOR A FREE SERVICE. I GOOGLED INFO ON THEM AND I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE DETAILS AND SO THEY NEVER GET CAUGHT OUT. THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER COMPANY THAT CHARGED ...ME ALMOST $70. I DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE BUT THE CHARGE CAME AT THE SAME TIME AS SKYPE'S JUST FYI

I've been using Skype for years and never had a problem. Are you sure someone didn't just steal your banking info to use for themselves?

I can't be completely sure at this point. Have to go to the bank first.

I have been on line, however, looking to see what it might be and there are a lot of others saying the same or similar thing.

I am surprised because when David & I first me we used skype and there was no issue. There is a second charge from a company called teltechcorp.com They look so dodgy and I found some info about them having been sued for breech of privacy, they do some strange secret unblocking of cell phones. The thing with our cell phones though is that we, the entire Ronzone group 4 of us, have a 'family phone, so the name on the account is not ours.

I never gave any details to skype but the charge says 'internet charge'they also have no customer service number.

I'm going to check it out with the bank tomorrow to see but it doesn't fill me with hope after having read all these complaints from people...

Check your computer for trojans too then, someone could be hacking your bank accounts and then using your info online to charge things.
